Below are a few tips for our guests to follow to have an enjoyable stay at Lakewood Cabin and Woodland Mini-Cabin. View our Guest Guidebook here for more details on activities in the area.


LAKEWOOD CABIN:

  • When using an induction stove top you must first place the pot on it then turn it on.   When using both cooking stovetops at the same time, plug each cooktop into separate wall outlets (one behind toaster, one to right of sink) - please don’t plug into same outlets  

  • Outdoor dishes are in the basket above the entry door

  • Coffee/tea etc. are on the shelf

  • For larger dishes the outdoor BBQ cooks faster than the convection oven

Kitchen

  • Extra bedding, blankets, and pillows are located on the shelf above the stairs

  • Bedding for the downstairs sofa bed and couch are in the coffee table 

  • Towels and bathrobes are in each bedroom

Linens

  • The LG remote controls the TV on and off and & volume. The Roku control navigates the streaming menu

  • The blu-ray player upstairs also has basic streaming capability 

  • There are board games and books in the bottom drawer of the coffee table 

  • Feel free to inquire about additional board games and blu ray movies we have more

Entertainment

  • Please only park on the gravel

  • Firewood and paper for the firepit are located at the back of the cabin

  • For safety reasons please do not move the fire pit

  • Make sure garbage lid is secure due to wildlife

Outdoors

  • The kitchen light switch is above the countertop 

  • Indoor light switch is the top one beside the fridge

  • Bottom light is for the outside patio and picnic area.  Feel free to leave on at night.

Lights

  • The separate washroom facility is a 30 second walk toward the parking area and is the small grey building with an outside light located near the house. There is a covered boat beside it

  • The outdoor shower is just outside the front door to your left as you exit. Please allow up to 3 minutes for the hot water to reach the shower from the house

Washroom Facility

WOODLAND CABIN:

  • Children using the ladder and loft must be supervised by an adult at all times

  • The ladder is stored behind the kitchen cabinets and clamps into place when in use

  • A barrier netting can be connected with clamps for additional safety 

  • Maximum capacity upstairs is two

Upstairs Safety

  • The heater has three switches: 600W, 900W or turning both switches on for 1500W

  • The loft bed is made for you upon arrival. 

  • Extra blankets are located in the coffee table  

  • Please let us know if you require additional blankets

  • The futon folds down by lifting the bottom front upward then pulling out while pulling away from the wall.  It’s best accomplished with two people in order not to damage the wall behind it.  

  • To put the futon back in the upright position, push in and up while lifting the back up.

Heating and Bedding

  • The Sanyo remote control turns the TV on and off and controls volume control, press firmly 

  • Use the Roku remote to stream TVs and movies

Entertainment

  • The fire pit is located behind the cabin. 

  • There is picnic table in front of the cabin and a wooden one at the start of the stone path for use

  • There is a plastic bin for additional storage such as shoes, backpacks etc.  Please do not store food in the bins.

Outdoors

  • The washroom is a separate building straight out the front steps of the cabin along the walking stones. 

  • The outdoor bathtub and shower is just to your right as you exit the cabin

  • Shampoo and towels are located in the washroom

  • The jetted tub must be filled above the jets, there is a switch outside to turn them on

Washroom Facility
